New Wearers

Wearing contacts for the first time can be exciting and scary at the same time! We are here every step of the way to help make the process of learning to wear and care for your new contact lenses go as smoothly as possible.

During your appointment for your eye exam and contact lens fitting, the doctor will discuss with you their recommendation for type of contact lens and wearing schedule. We will then have you come to our contact lens training room, where one of our contact lens technicians will guide you through insertion and removal. We will also go over how to care for your contact lenses. Families are encouraged to watch during our instructions, so they will be able to be more supportive of the new lens wearer at home.

IMPORTANT: Please call us if you ever have any questions or concerns about the contacts or your vision. Remove the contacts immediately and call our office if you experience any redness, pain, discharge, light sensitivity, or blurry vision.
